Pineapple Consulting Firm is the fractional analytics function for other businesses, mostly fractional CFOs and marketing partners who each carry a dozen or more clients of their own. Every one of those clients needs data pulled out of QuickBooks and a handful of other tools, refreshed on a schedule, and turned into a white-label dashboard. Pineapple runs that layer on Coupler.io and BigQuery, with templates that make a new client a copy-paste job.

Stop pulling numbers by hand — automate client reporting like Pineapple Consulting Firm did.
Start for freeOnboarding that cost a week Pineapple didn't have
Pineapple's model only works if adding a client is cheap. A fractional CFO partner brings 15 clients at once, and each one needs its own set of automated flows. With three full-time employees, anything that takes a week per account kills the economics.
Before Coupler.io, it took about that long. The team had tried a couple of other tools, but most of the work came down to exporting CSVs by hand into a shared folder, then doing it again next month. Every refresh was a person.
The second cost was in sales. "We can build you something" is a project quote. It isn't a service anyone renews.

Templates in Coupler.io, BigQuery as the source of truth
Pineapple rebuilt onboarding around reusable Coupler.io setups. When a partner brings a new client, the team copies an existing template, points it at the new accounts, and the flows are live.
Finance engagements usually start with QuickBooks, and sometimes that's the entire scope. Marketing clients add the ad platforms, the social accounts, GA4 and Google Search Console, which lands at roughly 10 sources per client. Same process each time.
The flows themselves stay deliberately simple. Pineapple runs one source per flow into BigQuery and does the joins downstream, either in the warehouse or at the dashboard layer. BigQuery is the source of truth for everything the firm builds on top: some Looker Studio, some Google Sheets, and increasingly custom dashboards with AI analysts built into the final output.
Reports land in the client's inbox every Monday morning. Nobody has to ask.
Pineapple also hosts the connections itself rather than sharing them out, because most of its clients don't want to see the plumbing. The occasional data-savvy client signs up under Pineapple's referral code and grants the team access instead.
Our clients are typically not the most data savvy. They don't want to see anything behind the scenes, which is totally fair. That's why they hired us.

One hour per client, once — not every month
-
Monthly upkeep went from 15–30 minutes per client to zero — the recurring cost of a client account is now the dashboard itself, not the data behind it
-
Setup stayed at about an hour, but it's a one-time hour — copy a template, point it at the new accounts, done
-
A three-person firm supports partners with 15+ clients each — adding a client no longer adds monthly work
-
One warehouse behind every client — BigQuery feeds Looker Studio, Google Sheets, and Pineapple's own AI dashboards from the same structured data
-
The pitch changed — automation is a day-one promise instead of a scoped project
